The "New Learning Society” comprises an audience that runs the gamut – from learners who may be displaced because of social and political crises to those who need re-skilling in order to engage productively in the emerging workforce and includes early learners as well as adults. Open Learning and J-WEL at MIT have been actively involved in developing and advancing programs to address the needs of these new learners. This panel will highlight the innovative and transformational aspects of these initiatives designed to provide quality learning at scale.
