Education in Times of Crisis: Shaping the Future of Internally Displaced Children- A Case Study from Pakistan

This study investigates the impact of education on 20 internally displaced out-of-school children over a period of eight months in a rural area of Pakistan. Two focus areas of the study were to observe (1) Change in participants’ perception towards education, and; (2) Skill development of participants. Internally displaced children were enrolled in a local school and their performance was measured against non-displaced students attending regular school. An educational strategy developed by UNICEF specifically for IDPs was used to structure the study along with a hybrid learning framework to measure children’s performance in three knowledge areas: foundational, meta and humanistic skills.

Integration Challenges of ICT in Rural Remote Mountainous Schools: An Effective ICT Policy and Implementation in Leadership/Principal’s Perspective

This study investigated school-level ICT policy and its effective implementation in leadership and principals' perspectives of rural, remote mountainous areas of developing countries. In this research, the emphasis is placed on how school-level ICT policy plans are being developed and finds out the school level ICT policy development and implementation challenges, potential and impact in rural mountainous areas K-12 schools.

What if There is Limited Access to Technology? Teaching English to Underprivileged Young Learners

This paper reports on an Albanian case study examining what happened when English as a second language teacher candidates introduced digitally-enhanced teaching strategies into educational experiences for third-grade students in settings with limited technology access.
