Lana Cook, Ph.D is a Leadership Giving and Strategic Initiatives Officer at MIT Open Learning. She received her doctorate in English from Northeastern University. Her research in American literature, film and visual cultures focuses particularly on the aesthetics of altered states of perception and cognition.  At Northeastern, Cook taught undergraduate writing and rhetoric, and was the 2013 recipient of Northeastern University’s Humanities Center Fellowship.  In her role at MIT, Cook supports development and strategic initiatives across MIT Open Learning, nurturing new opportunities for cross-community engagement in learning and teaching.
